Workshop on Sports Goods Manufacturing, Meerut
SPORTSCOM organised a workshop in Meerut in collaboration with NITI Aayog to strengthen India’s sports goods manufacturing ecosystem, bringing together manufacturers, policymakers, and industry leaders to discuss growth strategies, innovation, policy support, and export competitiveness.
The workshop saw participation from senior officials including Mr. R. Vineel Krishna, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, and Mr. Sanjeet Singh, Senior Advisor, NITI Aayog, along with 80+ manufacturers such as COSCO, NELCO, SG, and STAG.
Discussions highlighted a vision to position India as a global hub for sports goods manufacturing and capture 20% of the global sports equipment market by 2036.
